Bone (Third book) by Jeff Smith

Title: Bone (third book)

Rating: 4.5 stars

The series has now become a trilogy. This time however the rat creatures are still finding ways to attempt to kill Phoney Bone, with them narrowly escaping every time. Phoney Bone claims he is a professional dragon slayer in an attempt to win a bet. Nightmares appear, secrets are revealed, meaning maybe it is perhaps time to find a new place to live.

This book still works really well. I find this one slightly better than the previous two installments as it shows a more interesting side to the story. While the main protagonist Phoney Bone doesn’t change and still wants to prove his glory we see how it’s now time for them to leave the farm they live where they were in the last installment. While it isn’t much I found it interesting compared to the last two books. However it still doesn’t meet my requirements to be a five star.

Just like its two predecessors, the third installment of the Bone series is a fun read if you’re bored. I definitely found it a bit more interesting compared to the last two books. This is still a great graphic novel despite not being a five star to me.
